Great experience!

October 29th, 2014

We had researched dozens of pool companies and even had several come to our home to give us estimates.   We were sold on Exquisite from the first time we met Rich.  His knowledge of pools, the equipment and is pride in working for Exquisite impressed us so much we knew we couldn’t go wrong.  Each person that came to our home throughout the process was friendly and professional.  Colt was very patient with all of our questions and worked very hard to ensure we were happy with the end results.  Our pool is beautiful and we couldn’t be happier!

Thanks
Ann

I would like to start off by thanking you and your staff for the commitment and effort put forth during the construction of me and my sons pool. The pool has made such a positive impact on our backyard. I no longer keep the blinds closed now my blinds are always open so that I can see my beautiful pool.
Prior to selecting Exquisite Pools to construct our pool I had contacted several different pool companies some seamed disinterested because of the slope of my yard and others seemed more interested in selling me the “extras” that understanding my needs and budget.
My first meeting with your sales person Butch was very informative. I didn’t feel like there was any pressure to sign a contract. Butch also took the time to understand my needs and my budget. During my first meeting with Butch I had mentioned to him several items I thought would be nice to have Butch was very knowledgeable explaining the difference between “luxury” and what features would be beneficial and enjoyable. Butch was very helpful getting me the features I would enjoy the most all while staying in budget. Butch was upfront regarding the price of the pool and the contract from the beginning and to top it off Exquisite came in with a lower price for a similar designed pool.
I was home for most of the construction process and able to meet most of your employees. The employees were very professional and appreciative of food and drinks I left out for them. I never saw any of your employees sitting around when they were at the job site they were working. The employee that managed the pool for the 30 days after the pool was filled was also very informative and helpful in explaining the maintenance and cleaning process and procedures.
I am very glad that I chose Exquisite pools for the construction of my pool and my sons pool. We are looking forward to using the pool this summer.

Experience the Splendor of the Concours d’Elegance.

October 28th, 2013

True car enthusiasts know quality once they see it, that is certainly one of the reasons why the Concours d’Elegance attracts so many diehard fans every year.  Concours d’Elegance has been regarded as one of the foremost judged exotic car shows in the nation for quite some time. Every year, nationally ranked judges attend the Concours d’Elegance, presenting the best automobiles with prestigious awards. On November 9 – 10, you too will have the opportunity to experience the true luxury and splendor that is the Concours d’Elegance.

The Concours begins November 9th with the Tour d’Elegance, where 100s of the most beautiful and refined cars in the nation will parade through the city. After the Tour, food and wine is going to be available. Sunday, November 10th, the Concours d’Elegance continues with various judging events, all before the awards ceremony.  Imagine walking through scenic Winter Park on a crisp, cool Fall day and seeing a vintage Rolls Royce or perhaps a Bentley roll by. Additionally, part of the proceeds of the Concours  d’Elegance goes to aid two important community charities.

The Winter Park Community Center plays a vital role in the area. Providing youth programs such as computer use, research skills, mentoring programs, and FCAT assistance, the Winter Park Community Center has helped in countless ways. One other charity that will benefit from the Concours d’Elegance is Kids House, the Wayne Densch Children’s Advocacy Center.  Child abuse can be a problem in any community, to any child, and its effects may be devastating. At Kids House, helping the victims of this terrible crime is the main priority. By attending the Concours , you are going to be helping both of these vital charities. Save the dates, November 9-10 for the Winter Park Concours d’Elegance. Enjoy beautiful cars, tasty food and help your community all at one event!

What Pool Filtration System Should I use?

Concrete vs Fiberglass…….which should I choose?

February 20th, 2013

First, a pool company that only sells Gunite (concrete) pools will generally state that their pool is the best – of course, this same sentiment is shared by the pool company that only sells Fiberglass pools.  Exquisite Pool & Spa sells and installs both products and therefore we are basically unbiased when it comes to discussing the pros and cons of each.  We truly believe that both Concrete and Fiberglass pools are great products and in the end the decision of which is best is up to you based on your evaluation of the differences I share below.

Let us start with the biggest question in everyone’s mind which is cost!  Yes, the dollar signs which are foremost in our thoughts with not only swimming pools, but any major construction project.  In our experience, the cost for a Concrete versus a Fiberglass pool is approximately the same considering each has basic features and is the same shape and size.  However, let’s take a look at some other information for you to consider in making your decision.

I guess the bottom line is what kind of look are you interested in – do you want to be able to customize the design and have full range of thought with regard to the shape of the pool, placement of steps, size and location of swimouts, lighting location, etc – if so then concrete (gunite) may be for you.

Do you want to pick from a standard range of designs, are you okay with standard limited depths, slopes, and pool width, not concerned with customizing, want to swim in the least amount of time, want a pool that is somewhat easier to maintain than a concrete (gunite pool) – then you might want Fiberglass.

Whichever product you choose, we are sure you will be happy – especially when you elect to become a member of the Exquisite Pool & Spa Family….

ARE YOU ADA COMPLIANT? Deadline Passes Jan 31, 2013

January 31st, 2013

This can be a major issue for some and can result in hefty fines for non-compliance. So, what do we mean by ADA Compliant?

Though the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was passed and signed in 1990, the federal government did not provide specific compliance information pertaining to public pools and spas until 2010. At that time they published the ADA Standards for Accessible Design wherein they state that public pools measuring less than 300 linear feet (Not Square Feet), in perimeter MUST have at least one means of entry to accommodate disabled individuals — basically this is a lift. Pools that are more than 300 linear feet in perimeter must have two methods of access.

There was a lot of push-back after officials stated that ‘portable’ lifts would not be compliant and that all lifts would have to be ‘anchored.’ At that point the Department of Justice reevaluated the deadline and eventually ended up with a compliance deadline of Jan 31, 2013. At this point, there is much concern that immediately after the deadline passes, there will be a string of litigation pertaining to non-compliance.

We are prepared to answer your questions and provide quotes on equipment to bring your pool or spa in compliance with the law.
